Trux Release Notes - Bulk Driver Assignment

Overview

Dispatchers can now select multiple drivers at a time and assign them to a specific dispatch order as a group.

The number and load and truck assignments will vary based on the type of hauler relationship(s) that exist with the selected haulers.

For assignments where all selected drivers are company-dedicated:

• The dispatcher will be able to assign loads
• The dispatcher will be able to assign trucks

For assignments where selected drivers are 3rd party truck owners:

• The dispatcher will be able to assign loads
• The dispatcher will be able to assign # of trucks

For assignments where drivers are 3rd party or leased owner operators:

• The dispatcher will be able to choose the number of loads
• The dispatcher will be able to choose the number of trucks for the owner operator
• The dispatcher will be able to choose the type of truck for the 3rd party driver

For assignments where drivers are brokered:

• The dispatcher will be able to assign number of loads
• The dispatcher will be able to assign number of trucks

Selecting Drivers to Assign

A “Select All” checkbox has been added to the FLEET window on the DISPATCH screen.

Clicking this box will select all drivers in the current view. Clicking it a second time will deselect all selected drivers in the current view.

Hover over an individual driver to reveal a checkbox. Click the box to select that driver. Repeat for each additional driver you wish to select.

Assigning Multiple Drivers

To assign multiple drivers at once, click and drag the selected drivers and drop them onto the dispatch order just as you would assign an individual driver to an order.

A window/modal will appear displaying the start and end locations, the product to be delivered, the number of unassigned loads, the default number of loads to be assigned to each driver (can be edited for each driver individually), the drivers being assigned to the dispatch order, the number of trucks (for owners and brokers), and the start date and time.

In the case of a driver having expired insurance, a red label alert will appear next to the selected driver. The dispatcher can complete the assignment which will exclude the driver that resulted in an error.
