What is Trux Chat?
Trux Chat allows fleet owners, dispatchers, brokers, and drivers to send real-time, 2-way messages from within and between Trux on the web and Trux Drive. Users can chat 1-on-1 as well as participate in custom group chats.
Why would I use Trux Chat instead of SMS Text?
While Trux Chat works very similar to messaging apps on your mobile device and/or web (e.g., Messages), there are some benefits unique to Trux Chat:
- Keep work and personal threads separate - don't lose track of important work-related threads by mixing them in with personal threads in your personal messaging app(s)
- Message confirmation - know which of your messages have been seen and read by your haulers and fellow teammates
- Photos, videos, and locations - easily share job site photos, videos, and locations with a single click or tap
- Save your device storage - Text messages, photos, videos, and other attachments can take up a few gigabytes of space on your mobile device. But your messages and their associated attachments sent with Trux Chat don't utilize local device storage.
- Web and mobile chat - chat back and forth between Trux Drive and Trux web. Your thread will persist between both platforms, so you can start a thread on Trux web, for example, and continue it on Trux Drive if/when you leave your office.
