Summary
Users with the Location Manager role can choose between two geofence types when creating and editing origin locations: Radius or Polygon.
A Radius geofence, the default value for new or existing locations, allows you to create a circular boundary around a specific point (an address or specific latitude/longitude coordinates), essentially drawing a virtual circle. A radius geofence is useful when targeting a general area around a specific point.
A Polygon geofence allows you to define a more complex area by connecting multiple points to create a custom shape that may better fit the exact boundaries of a location, making it more precise than a simple radius geofence. A polygon geofence is ideal for targeting a specific building, a complex property boundary, or when you need to exclude certain areas within a larger region.
NOTE: Origin locations that were created prior to this release will retain their radius-based geofence unless and until a polygon geofence is added.

Creating/Editing a polygon geofence
To draw a polygon geofence around a specific location:
- Choose the origin you wish to edit on the LOCATION screen.
- Click the Geofence tab on top of the origin view. From this view you can view / manage the geofences for the origin.
- Select the Polygon button to the left of the map.

- Add as many points as you need to create the shape of your geofence that’s required by the location. Click and drag any point to change the shape of your geofence. Click and drag anywhere inside the geofence to move the location of the drawn geofence around your location pin. You can also click and drag the pin to change the origin location coordinates within the drawn geofence.
- You can delete any points along the geofence boundary by right-clicking on a point and selecting Delete from the shortcut menu that appears.
- Click SAVE to save your polygon geofence.
