Overview
When a hauler accepts a Heritage Logistics assignment in Trux for the first time, they’ll be prompted to review and sign the latest Heritage Logistics Carrier-Broker Agreement before continuing. This ensures all haulers working under Heritage Logistics are compliant before starting work.
Once the hauler accepts the Carrier-Broker Agreement, they’ll also receive instructions on providing a Heritage Logistics Certificate of Insurance to Trux.
How It Works
Step 1: Hauler Accepts a Heritage Logistics Assignment
When a hauler attempts to accept their first Heritage Logistics assignment, a modal window appears displaying the Heritage Logistics Carrier-Broker Agreement.
The Carrier-Broker Agreement appear in English first, followed immediately by the Spanish version.
The hauler must provide a digital signature to continue.
The Accept button is the only way to proceed. If the hauler does not sign, they cannot accept the assignment.
The hauler can dismiss the modal to continue working on non-Heritage Logistics jobs.
The hauler can download the PDF of their signed Carrier-Broker Agreement, this will appear in the Files > Trux Drive folder on their phone.
Step 2: Signature Confirmation
Once the hauler provides their signature and taps Accept, they will be directed to the Certificate of Insurance instructions.
After the Carrier-Broker Agreement is signed, the hauler receives a confirmation email with a copy of the signed agreement attached.
If multiple users share the same company account, all users with Owner roles will receive an email notification confirming that the agreement was signed on behalf of the company.
Step 3: Certificate of Insurance (COI) Instructions
After signing, haulers are guided on how to submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) specific to Heritage Logistics.
The instructions include:
Email address to use to send the COI to Trux
How many days they have to submit it
A note that failure to upload within the deadline will suspend their ability to accept new Heritage Logistics work
If the hauler misses the deadline, they’ll be unable to be assigned or accept Heritage Logistics assignments until the COI is received and verified.
Who This Applies To
Dispatchers managing haulers who accept work for Heritage Logistics through Trux.
Fleet owners or admins overseeing haulers performing Heritage Logistics work.
Independent haulers, Truck Owners, Fleet Owners and Brokers performing Heritage Logistics work (any user with the ability to accept assignments and assign drivers and vehicles).

When This Appears
This prompt only appears when a hauler:
Attempts to accept their first Heritage Logistics assignment, and
Has not yet signed the latest Heritage Logistics Carrier-Broker Agreement.
Haulers can still accept and complete non-Heritage Logistics work without this prompt.
Signature Authority
-
If an Owner user signs the Heritage Logistics Carrier-Broker Agreement, all haulers under that company are covered.
Individual haulers do not need to sign separately for assignments under that owner.
If a broker accepts a Heritage Logistics job and assigns it to haulers, only the broker is required to sign and submit a Heritage Logistics COI.
Updated Carrier-Broker Agreement
If Heritage Logistics updates the Carrier-Broker Agreement in the future:
All haulers will be prompted to re-sign the new version before accepting further Heritage Logistics assignments.
A notification will appear automatically when a new version is available.
