Release Date: 03/04/2021
Changing the Start/End Time or Date of a Scheduled Dispatch Order
Dispatchers can now change the Start Time, End Time, Start Date, or End Date of an existing Dispatch Order up until the point a load has started for any assignment (or until the Dispatch Order is completed/closed/canceled, etc). In other words, as long as no hauler has punched in. The Date and Time fields are now editable on orders that are scheduled and assigned but not started.
When editing a dispatch order, a message will inform the Dispatcher how many Assignments will be impacted by the change.
-
The time/date can only be changed for a Dispatch Order (DO) with assignments that have not started (e.g., no hauler has punched in). Changed start times only apply to assignments in PENDING, OPEN, REQUESTED, SCHEDULED status.
-
The new time for a dispatch order with assignments can only be adjusted +/- 12 hours.
-
All assigned and impacted haulers will be notified by text of the new start time.
-
Reacceptance of the adjusted assignments by haulers is not required.
-
The new start time is recorded in the Dispatch Order History
-
End Times can also be adjusted
-
this doesn’t have an impact on the assignments' Start Time(s)
-
the new end time must be later than the start time
-
the dispatch order duration must be less than 24 hours
-
-
Where Stagger times are used, these do not persist. If a new start time is introduced, the Stagger logic is lost.
-
The Dispatch Order Confirmation is updated with new Start Time upon edit SAVE

Dispatch Order Contact validation
You may see a small tooltip on the Create Contact form when creating a Dispatch Order. These tooltips provide a brief explanation/reminder of the purpose of entering valid email addresses and contact information. The Contact form also now checks for a valid email address (specifically to rule out "opt-out" emails).
Editable email addresses in Order Confirmation preview
Related, we are now presenting the Contact(s) email address(es) in the Order Confirmation preview window. These email addresses are editable, so if you see an error or need to provide an update, you can do so directly from within the Order Confirmation preview. Email addresses that appear to be incorrect will even be highlighted.
Each element is a button that can be clicked to edit that Contact person. After updating a Contact and clicking SAVE in the Contact modal, the list of emails will refresh to reflect their changes in this Order Confirmation preview modal.
Longitude and Latitude added to the Daily Dispatch Summary file
The load complete longitude and latitude have been added to the Daily Dispatch Summary file.
Favorites First indicator on the SHIFTS screen
We've made it easier for you to see which Shifts are awaiting a Favorite hauler to accept (your shifts that have been dispatched to Favorites First. Learn more about dispatching to Favorites First).
You will now see the Favorites (heart) indicator and "Waiting for favorite to accept" message next to Requested shifts that you dispatched to Favorites First.
Manually dispatch "Searching" (Marketplace) shifts
You can now manually dispatch shifts (e.g., assign a specific driver from the DISPATCH screen) with a status of "Searching." Shifts with this status were originally dispatched to ALL TRUCKERS on the TRUX Marketplace. Now you can manually dispatch drivers to shifts that have yet to be claimed on the Marketplace.
You can also manually dispatch shifts with the status of Searching when accessing TRUX from your mobile device's web browser.
Add a valid truck type when accepting a job
Previously, job details were not viewable for available jobs that required a truck type that you didn't already have in TRUX. Now, you will be able to view the job details AND quickly add the valid truck type directly from the available job details view.
Clicking + ADD TRUCK will open the Add Truck window where you can directly enter your truck's information to accept or claim the job.
Busy (Scheduled) truck indicator
We now display which of your trucks are already scheduled on jobs directly within the Choose a truck drop-down list. Now you can easily see which of your trucks are currently scheduled in order to avoid potential equipment conflicts.
Shift details added to the header of exported Shift Reports
We've added the following shift data at the top of exported Shift Report .csv files:
- Shift ID
- Shift Start Date and Time
- Driver Name
- Trucking Company Name
- Job ID
- Job Name
