Once you've created shifts for your jobs, it's time to monitor their progress. Keep track of when your shifts have been claimed by haulers, when they punch in, communicate with haulers while on the job, and even reorder shifts as needed.

Click the button below to be guided through how to do this within TRUX.
Read how
Click SHIFTS on the left navigation menu.
View all of your shifts for the selected date(s) and job(s).
- Data Selector - Select a specific date or a date range.
- Day/Week Selector - Select a relative day (e.g., TODAY, YESTERDAY, etc.) or week.
- Job and Status - Click the drop-down lists to select a specific job and/or one or more shift status options.
- Your Shifts - all of your shifts for the selected dates, jobs, and status options.
View instructions and hauler information for each shift.
- Hover your mouse over the "i" icon to review the shift instructions you entered when creating the shift.
- Click the phone icon to reveal the assigned hauler's phone number. Copy the phone number to your clipboard to place a call via an Internet/web phone dialer.
View the shift Start and End locations and access Shift Actions.
- Hover over the shift to reveal the shift shortcut menu. See the Shift Actions Overview section below regarding actions you can take on a shift based on their status.
- Hover over the map icon to reveal the shift START and END Locations.
You can take a number of actions on your shifts based on their current status.
Shift Actions Overview
The shifts you post on TRUX can have any of the following possible statuses (click on a status to jump to that section of this document):
The status of your shift(s) will determine what actions you can take. Hover over a shift to reveal the shift shortcut menu (3 dots). Click the menu to reveal your status-based options.
Searching
Shifts with a status of Searching are those that have been posted to the TRUX Marketplace and are available for verified haulers to claim. Haulers within 100 miles of the job Start OR End Locations are notified and able to claim the shift(s).
- Edit Shift - You can edit a shift's start time, date(s), start and end locations, material type, rate type, rate, whether or not load slips are required, and/or job instructions. See how to edit a shift.
- Cancel - Click to cancel a shift.
- Reorder - Click to reorder a shift. See how to reorder a shift.
Requested
Shifts with a status of Requested are those that have been dispatched to a specific hauler but not yet accepted. The dispatched hauler(s) will be notified that they have been specifically requested for your shifts, and they will be able to Accept or Reject the request.
- Edit Shift -You can edit a shift's start time, date(s), start and end locations, material type, rate type, rate, whether or not load slips are required, and/or job instructions. See how to edit a shift.
- Cancel - Click to cancel a shift.

Scheduled
Shifts with a status of Scheduled have been claimed (from the TRUX Marketplace or one of your Favorites) or accepted (by haulers to whom you manually dispatched the shift).
- Message - Send a 1-way communication to the trucker(s) on this shift.
- Cancel - Click to cancel a shift. Learn more about the TRUX cancelation policy.
- Reorder - Click to reorder a shift. See how to reorder a shift.
- Add Note - Add additional notes for the hauler who is scheduled for this shift.
Punched In
Shifts with a status of Punched In have a hauler who is actively hauling on your shift - they are "on the clock."
- Reorder - Click to reorder a shift. See how to reorder a shift.
- Shift Report - Click to view a Trucker Cycle Report.
- Punch Out - Click to punch out haulers who have ended their shift but did not punch out.
- Reassign - Click to reassign a hauler from one shift to another.
- Message - Send a 1-way communication to the trucker(s) on this shift.
- Documents - Click to view shift documents such as invoices or Prevailing Wage documents.
Punched Out
Your shift(s) will have this status as soon as the scheduled/assigned hauler ends the shift and punches out - they are "off the clock."

- Dispute - Click to dispute a shift. Learn more about how to dispute a shift.
- Documents - Click to view shift documents such as invoices or Prevailing Wage documents.
- Loads - Click to view and download hauler load slips.
Canceled
You can cancel a shift up to 2 hours before the job start time without penalty. Learn more about the TRUX cancelation policy.

Expired
Shifts will have a status of Expired if they are not claimed/accepted by haulers by the expiration time. The expiration time can be the shift start time or a time you designate when creating the shift.

- Loads - Click to view and download hauler load slips.
Disputed
Shifts will have a status of Disputed when the contractor believes there is an error or the shift warrants further investigation. Some of the common reasons to dispute a shift include hauler punch-in or punch-out errors, delivered material missing or the wrong amount delivered, damaged equipment, etc.
